All Golfers Will Be Senior Golfers One Day

AERKD4BCAX6PWETCAT1EM6KCA0BHZIECAHAE2LXCAYM7AILCA16UYZ4CAZRTIYMCA3C8CPRCA9N931ZCAHNJTRZCABJRCA2CAMAVNF4CA4OA76RCA4VGG3KCAJF62QECAFYI5KICAV17QPBCASHSXYPCA4A2XFAThe golf course is full of golfers this time of year. many are senior golfers. People who have earned the right to spend time on the golf course. I am sure when they were working their thoughts were about retirement and spending their days playing golf. Not just getting in a round on the weekend or after working 8 hours.

My parents both play golf and they love it. Not only is golf a great form of exercise but it is also a way to “keep in the loop” after retirement. My mother plays golf on ladies day and my father plays golf on a men’s league and then their if Friday which is for couples. So I would call them senior golfers.

Many years ago I worked at a private country club in Sterling, Colorado. What a beautiful place. You could not have asked for a more beautiful course nor club house. I heard the club house had a very bad fire several years ago. I certainly hope they rebuilt.

The club was closed on Mondays so that was my day off. My friend Caroline and I took lessons from the golf pro. We got a great deal on our beginners golf club set. After a few lessons we were ready to hit the golf course. I am sure that Caroline must have put in some practice outside of our lessons because she did great. Me on the other hand, I had a 27 on the first hole. My total score was 109 on 7 holes. We would have finished the course but we lost all of our balls. You’ll recall that I hate snakes so I was not about to go to far off the path looking for any miss hit golf balls. may I say there were many that were miss hit.

I decided that golf was not my game. I went out a few other times but it just was not my thing. But Caroline got her husband involved with gold they joined a club and bought a golf cart. Maybe when I am older I will take up golf again, and then I will be a senior golfer.

I have put together a few article about senior golfers I hope you enjoy it.

Finding Your Niche’

ABQ0P4ACAH7C7HSCA5NRQXQCAW4MKLFCA97W6BACAPLAI6MCARE2J30CAM64PUGCAM7M9GACAAP8D60CAC8K0M4CAHB1KBICAWPEPYBCADO3L2RCAOP1IATCA9V8PPNCA5QJD85CAUM00VNCAN3ACAICATFVDTMHave you ever seen a pool cue worth $175,000? Yes, you read that right. That is the correct amount of zeros, ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS!!
I want to tell you a story about finding your niche’.

We hear it all the time, Niche’ Marketing. Several months ago I went to our small town post office. On this particular day the line was very long, which is rare. I started a conversation with a pleasant young man who was mailing long cylinder packages. As I recall he had 2 or 3 packages. Me, being the nosey person that I am, I found that inside were pool cues. Well as I said the line was very long. And when your nosey you ask more questions. This young mans name was Bill and he has an online business dealing in pool cues.

Well since I also have an online business, I had to know more. Bill proceeded to tell me that he had bought a pool cue and it was not quite what he wanted. So he resold it for more money than he had paid for it. Well I guess the light bulb went off in his head and that was it. Bill had found his niche’ dealing in pool cues.
As Paul Harvey would say, ‘now for the rest of the story.”……… Last week I was leaving the post office and I ran into Bill. He was on his way in and once again he had cylinder containers. Me being Little Miss Nosey once again had to ask, how things were going. Bill told me he has been truly blessed. I think his excitement was radiant. He told me he was a single stay at home Dad and business was terrific. After this stop at the post office he was on his way to the zoo with his kids and their friends… IN MID WEEK. Bill wasn’t waiting for the weekend, this was Thursday. His wonderful niche’ marketing business was allowing him to do just what he wanted, when he wanted.

I just had to share that story with you about what happens when you find your Niche’. Have you found yours? www.cornerstonecustomcues.com/

Digging in the DIRT is Gardening

AIE2SLHCAASBT2ACA04N3P2CAG2ZO94CATXWQDKCAIBE209CAYHCBVTCAXCH5XCCAJJ1WJXCA1DOEASCAY74YGJCA3IBSVJCA2C28JFCALP1170CADDU3KGCA8JT10ECAKCC03DCARR84F5CAKLSGZ2CAK57TX8There is something to be said about digging in the dirt. When I was young I didn’t like to get dirt under my finger nails. I think it was a kid thing, and the thought of working in the garden was just not a pleasant thought. I knew that snakes would be there lying in wait to scare me in that garden.

When I got married and moved to our new home my husband who is a city boy wanted to have a garden. He wanted to grow “beef steak tomatoes.” His idea of a tomato is the bigger the better.

Well his plants were TALL, I mean HUGE they were beautiful. Then her broke his ankle and was not able to get out there and take care of his tomato plants. Within a very short amount of time the weeds had taken over an they were as TALL as the tomato plants.

I do have flower beds around the house and lots of flowers growing in pots. We also have a very long handicap ramp along the back of our house for my mother-in-law. I have it lit with solar lamps but this year I planted flowers in my husbands old shoes and hung them all along the ramp. Looks charming in my opinion, but I have been told I have a very odd sense of style.

I put together a series of articles about gardening I hope you enjoy it.

I certainly was not about to go out and “tend the garden.” I knew for a fact, lying in wait inside those rows of HUGE tomato plants were snakes… lots of them.

The next year a nice young couple bought the farm across the street and every since then we have had farm fresh produce. Now that is my way of gardening. I don’t have to get my fingernails dirty and especially dont’ have to worry about SNAKES!! lying in wait to scare me.

I found a new shoe maker, Okabashi

AFAHBWUCAXFFOX9CAO3B1ZSCAFAAV17CAKTFCJJCASZMRQBCAP99WGYCA1WRBZ3CA0IB4ASCAXJ9B20CA53HS9ECAMHO0HKCAU4545KCABAOV5BCA5G0BNCCAI8PXOECAIXPXAYCAD9PJX6CAJSG3YNCAV07JAYNow that I have my feet looking good with my Ped Egg I have to tell you about some shoes that I found by accident.
I love to go to the junk store. What is it they say..”one man junk is another mans treasure.” Well I have  a whole house full of those treasures, and that is not an exaggeration.I love junk stores. it really is amazing what your able to find at a junk store. I am not real big into garage sales but give me a good junk store and I am in heaven.
While at the Lions Den in Temperance, Michigan… one of my favorite junk stores I found a pair of shoes still on the original packaging. These were a pair of black plastic shoes, nice heel. There were made by Okabaski. I had never heard of these but they were my size and of course they were the right price. So naturally I bought them.
When I got home I tried on my new shoes, they were a perfect fit, and so comfortable. What a bargain I got. I liked my new bargain so much I had to find out more about them. I looked them up on the internet. Low and behold they were offered in many colors and many styles, and the price was still right. Your not going to believe what these comfortable shoes sell for. I looked for where they were sold and found many options but the one I choose was Walgreens. I couldn’t wait to go see what they had available.
These shoes are attached to cardboard hanging on a display so don’t go looking for them in boxes.

Check them out I think you’ll like them too.

P.S. For the past few years I have worn those plastic clogs. I always thought I looked like Elmer Fudd in them. I have pitched all of them for my new style, OKABASHI !!

Do you know what A Ped Egg is?

Do you have cracked and dry feet? Boy I sure did. My feet looked and felt awful. In fact they were the worse I had ever seen them. I have found something that has made 110% difference in just a few minutes.

I bought a Ped Egg, cost me $10.00 at target. The gadget is shaped like an egg so it fits nicely in your hand. The only way I can describe it, is it is the same concept as a hand held food grater. You know the thing with all of the holes in it, if your anything like me you have grated off a few finger nails while using it.
Well you use this Ped Egg on your cracked and dry feet by simply grating or shaving off the dry hard cracked skin. This thing worked like a charm. The idea seems so simple I can’t believe no one thought if this sooner.
Just a word of warning.. DO NOT USE ON WET FEET. Use BEFORE you shower NOT AFTER.
It also comes with a bit of sandpaper that you attach to the outside of the egg for the fine detail of your grating.
I love my Ped Egg, Now my feet look as they should. What an invention. I just wish it were me who would have thought of it.

I got everyone one for Christmas

2cxdgsl_thMy Christmas list for 2008 was easy, everyone got a Furminator. Have you seen these things? In our local pet store they have a video that is on all of the time  demonstrating how this wonderful de-shedding tool works, not only on dogs but also on cats. I want you to know it works just as it shows on that video.

If you have a dog or a cat you need a Furminator. It just does a great job with the under coat of all of my critters.

Do you hate house work?

AP9BGNYCADZT3LSCA9RORWJCAJPGIUXCAAI8UW4CAU4XM9LCALS8LQRCAKQBGBZCAUXFQOACAZ9ZQH5CAPS08Z2CAKPCSZ8CACICX51CAKYBX4ACANFCLITCA0VAXG8CA0JK1ITCA8VK787CAACX2GOCAKM0RXJI hate to clean the house. I JUST HATE IT. I don’t mind doing dishes or doing laundry but I hate to clean the house. I especially hate to dust. I would rather have my finger nails ripped out than dust. (Do you think I really hate to dust?)

I was at a department store a few weeks ago and an announcement came over the loud speakers that they would be having a LIVE demonstration for a product that everyone needed. Well that must have meant me. Imagine my SHOCK  when I saw that it was going to deal with cleaning products.

I was just about to leave when just for being there I got FREE GIFT. How could I leave then?

I was so impressed with the demonstration… I bought a new Microfiber Mop with Microfiber pads and extra set of Microfiber clothes. ME!!! The gal who hates to clean I bought all of that stuff. It was not just me who was buying, all who were in attendance bought the same thing I did.

I was so impressed I went home and washed my floors with my new Microfiber mop!!
