You have heard to Keep it LOCAL… Right?

I don’t know about you but…
Doesn’t it seem, once you start working on something
everywhere you look there is more information about it?

I am sure you have been hearing about The Local Business Market.
Helping small businesses develop an internet presence.

I was shocked at what it cost brick and mortar businesses to
advertise in places like the Yellow Pages. It is typical for a
business to pay about $1,200.00 MONTHLY for this service.
That is for a full page Yellow Page ad that stays the same
for a whole year.

With more and more people going to their computers to get
details about a particular business or a list of those offering
what they are looking for. It just makes sense for business to
not only have a web site but also to make it search engine
friendly so their customers will be able to find them.

Not only would that website be able to offer information about
the phone number the directions, services offered that would be
in your typical ad but… The site could offer specials, an opt-in to
receive more information, schedule appointment or just simple
ask them a question. Having your own website soon will be
A MUST have for all brick and mortar businesses.

BUT… and here is the kicker just because they have a web site
how can they be sure anyone will be able to FIND IT!!

That is where the Local Business Market niche comes in.
And the good news is you can be a part of it.

There are many ways in which you can offer your help to these
businesses. The one that is in the most demand and brings in the
best results is video marketing.

Watch these videos to see what a great hidden niche this
Local Business Market really is.

Omnicare does not honor it’s agreements.

Pills Pills and more PillsDon’t you just hate it when things change and your the last one to know about it. The only way you know things have changed is that you get a letter in the mail telling you that you have been turned over to collections.

Omnicare makes up it’s own rules as it goes along.

The following statement was taken directly from Omnicare’s website…

“Omnicare provides professional pharmacy services to skilled nursing facilities and assisted living communities in 47 states in the United States and Canada. Our services are focused on delivering the most appropriate pharmaceutical care cost effectively.”

I actually have to snicker at that statement. “Our services are focused on delivering the most appropriate pharmaceutical care cost effectively.” I suppose I could read a bit more into that part of the statement and make it mean just about anything, Perhaps that is what Omnicare has done. Make that statement fit the situation.

I want to tell you how Omnicare really takes care of the people that it provides services to.
==================================================================

End of October 2006
Margret Mae entered Tender Care Nursing Home in Monroe Michigan
after a short stay in the hospital. Margret had suffered a stroke in her
home and laid on the floor for 4 days before she was found.

Beginning October 2007
Margret was released from the nursing home and went to live with her son and myself.   Shortly after arriving here WE got a bill in the mail for $3996.35 from Specialized Pharmacy. I say “WE” because the bill came in my husband name not Margret’s. After the shock of seeing such a large amount being owed I called and asked about it. I insisted that there must be a mistake. What was this bill for?

I was told that this was for the drugs that Margret has received while she was in the nursing home. No explanation was given for WHY no bill had been sent prior to this but I would be getting a break down of all of the drugs that were given while Margret was in the nursing home.   A week or so later I did indeed get a break down.   Margret got on the phone with Specialized Pharmacy and made arrangement to pay $50.00 a month. And we started to pay $50.00 a month. That was the agreement that both the pharmacy and Margret agreed to.

June 2008
Specialized Pharmacy billing changed to Omnicare Pharmacy

I am guessing Fall of 2009
Margret received a letter stating that she had been turned over to collectionsfor not paying her bill. I called the pharmacy and was told how sorry they were but this should not have happened. We will take care of this. You account is noted that you are set up on a $50.00 a month payment.

February 1 2010
Margret received another letter indicating that she had once again been
turned over to collections. I called again and spoke with a delightful woman
named Sandy. Sandy once again told me how sorry she was that this happened and she did see that the account is setup for a $50.00 a month payment plan. She said she would find out and get back with me. Sandy called and told me that she had forwarded an email and that someone would be getting back with me about this matter.

A few days Later Harold called. I was told that my bill was 271 days past due. I told Harold it can’t be I had just sent in a check and had been sending in checks all along, $50.00 a month just as had been agreed to. Harold went onto tell me that the outstanding debt itself was what was 271 days past due.   I asked Harold what happened to the agreement that we had for the $50.00 a month?  He told me again it was 271 days past due. I said if you were going to change the rules I think it would have been nice to let us know. To give us a heads up to your intent of if the bill was not paid that we would be turned over to the collection agency. A phone call or a letter would have been nice.   Harold said, we did call you. I asked, when did you call me? Harold said we called you on January 29. I said I didn’t get a phone call. Did you speak to me or leave me a message? Harold told me that no message was left. But that was the “attempt to notify” before account was turned over to collections. I asked how I was suppose to know that you want to speak to me. Harold informed me that my caller ID  would have indicated that they called. Of course I had to ask, What makes you think I have caller ID? I proceeded to tell Harold that I was sure not everyone was as tecky as he was.

Margret called the collection agency and was told to borrow the money.

Margret has paid the outstanding bill to the collection agency.

Margret never said she didn’t owe the money. Payment arrangements were made and the payments were always paid. Omnicare is just not to be trusted. I am sure if this has been done to Margret it is being done to many many other people.

I welcome your comments and any experience with Omnicare that you would like to share.

Logan Charles Salon

Charles Logan Salon

I just had to tell you about my visit to Charles Logan Salon.
First off the place is beautiful, it is very open and airy. When I arrived I was greeted by the salon owner Angie LaBudie. Angie has been a hair dresser for about 25 years. It was just a natural transition for her to open her own salon.  I was there for a hair cut. While I was there the clients included a very young girl, an elderly women and even a guy. They were expecting a bride-to-be for a trial “do” for her up coming wedding. The salon offers something for everyone, cuts, colors, waxing. The other hair dressers at Charles Logan are all extremely talented, just as Angie
herself is.

I just had a great experience at Charles Logan Salon, I will
definitely be going back when it is time for another hair cut… I am already
looking forward to it.

Charles Logan Salon is located in Monroe, Michigan. Monroe
is located about 30 miles south of Detroit and about 10 miles north of Toledo
Ohio, just off I 75. The location of the salon made it very easy to find.

Snack Vending Machines – All Sizes, Shapes, Colors And Snacks

Break TimeSnack vending machines are the perfect alternative to having to pack a lunch to bring to work or to taking time to go to a restaurant. This is why these vending machines that sell snacks and food are so popular just about everywhere. If you are interested in getting into the vending machine business where you sell different types of snacks, you really should check out all the distributors to get a clear idea of what is actually available. There are so many sizes and shapes of snack vending machines available in different price ranges that you do need to do your homework.

When you do an online search for “food vending machine”, the number of results you will get is actually mind-boggling. This is just the tip of the iceberg because there are so many distributors of snack vending machines that don’t have a website. In one vending machine, snacks can range from chocolate bars to sandwiches. You can sell as many different products as you wish or just concentrate on one of two different kinds of food. The vending machines for snacks are usually large and stand on the floor, but you can get these vending machines that hang on the wall.

Make sure that the food vending machine you purchase is electronic and that it has independent vend motors. You also need to have snack vending machines where you can charge a different price for each of the food products that you sell. If you cannot have different prices in the vending machines, snacks will either be too expensive or too cheap and as a result, you won’t make any money. You can also choose to have the snack machines take only coins or you can add a bill receptacle.

You can also have snack vending machines that dispense coffee as well as sell sandwiches, cookies and other types of food. In fact, you could provide your customers will a full meal by allowing them to buy a drink, snack and dessert from the same food vending machine. This type of vending machine works really well in hotels, where the patrons just want a late night snack or don’t want to bother with a full meal.

When you have snack vending machines as part of your business, you do need to be careful that you inspect the products on a regular basis to make sure that they are fresh. This will help avoid any problems with the customers receiving stale or spoiled food. For the most part, vending machine snacks have a long shelf life, but you do need to place then in locations where sales will be brisk. If not, you will have a lot of spoilage with the products in the snack vending machines if you sell sandwiches and fruit.

Soda Vending Machines – The Best Money Making Machines

Break TimeSoda vending machines are one of the easiest ways to make money in the vending machine business. However, like all other vending machines, you do need to offer a selection of beverages, such as soda, juice and bottled water. You also need to have them placed in strategic locations. The location is the key to making money with vending machines, no matter what type of machines you have. There are several ways you can go about getting the soda vending machines that you want for your business.

Soda bottling companies often provide the soda vending machines free of charge. However, you do have to sign a contract saying that you will only purchase the supplies for the beverage vending machine from this company, which can cut down on your profits. When you buy from the company, you will receive discounts, such as one free case of soda for every ten cases that you buy. The downside to buying all the sodas and other beverages from the company is that you will pay full price for the supplies.

Buying a used soda vending machine is one way that you can realize higher profits. You can save up to 50% of the cost of the machine when you buy used. Most times the vending machine distributors have refurbished soda vending machines at a much lower cost than that of new machines. When you own the beverage vending machine yourself, you can purchase your products wherever you want. This allows you to take advantage of sales offered from various wholesalers and quite often you can get the soda you need at the supermarket for less than wholesale price. When you restock your used soda machine in this manner, you will have higher profits.

At one time, schools were strategic locations for soda vending machines. With the laws now in force banning these vending machines from schools, you may have to rethink the type of products that you want to sell through your beverage vending machine. Soda is not the only beverage and in schools there is a great need for beverages such as fruit juice, milk and bottled water. Converting your used soda vending machines to handle these products will still keep you in business.

Airports, shopping malls and other strategic locations where there is high people traffic are prime places for soda vending machines. Often when out shopping, people want a cool refreshing drink and they don’t want to go into a restaurant and sit down. With the beverage vending machine, you will find that at certain times of the year, business is better than others. Summer is the time when cold soda sells best from the soda vending machines, so you do have to be prepared for a slow down in business when winter arrives.

Gumball Vending Machines – A Great Way To Break Into The Vending Business

Break TimeGumball vending machines are the best known of all vending machines. They are the basis of every vending business because most people get started in this business with one or more gumball machines. This is because they are the cheapest of the machines and they do generate a lot of profit. You can sell giant bubblegum, candy and fun prizes from gumball vending machines.

Even as more and more vending machines come on the market, the gumball vending machines have remained. They come in a wide variety of styles and designs, such as the classic globe shaped gumball machine or the spiral shaped models. When you contact a business, gumball machine owners find that these are the easiest machines to place. Business owners know that both children and adults like to use them and they can even spur along the sales by offering prizes for a certain colored gumball. This makes using them more fun. Gumball machines usually take a quarter so the product is not costly for the customer.

You can have single gumball vending machines or models with two or three machines in one. Experts on the vending machine business will tell you that you should not have more than three different products or three machines selling gumballs and candy in one location. The small number of choices helps to increase the sales of gumballs for your business. Gumball machines are also very colorful which makes them very noticeable, along with the colorful gumballs inside.

Along with selling gumballs, you can sell many products for fun. Gumball machines can be used to sell bouncy balls, toy capsules or even small souvenir mugs. As long as the products can fit through the dispenser in the gumball vending machines you can use them in the machines. You will also have to adjust the price to reflect the product because some products are more expensive than others. You do have to price the products to sell, but also be able to make a profit in your business. Gumball machines are so popular because they are the most profitable of all vending machines.

The spiral gumball vending machines seem to work best in a vending machine business. This is because these machines are very attractive to children, who love to watch the gumball spin around the spiral in the machine. Parents don’t mind spending the quarter for the gumball and quite often they will end up spending more than one in the fun gumball machines. Business owners don’t mind having them on their premises either because they get a commission based on the amount of money that comes out of each machine.

If you are thinking of getting started in the vending machine business, you will enjoy great success with gumball vending machines.

Buy Used Vending Machines To Keep Your Cost Low

BBB VendingWhen buying used vending machines, the best ones to buy are the ones that are 100% metal. When you see a used vending machine on sale, the price is usually a lot lower than if you purchased it new, which is a great way to get started in the vending machine business. If you are looking for a home business that you can work on your own time and for which you don’t need to hire staff, then take a look at some of the used vending machines that are available.

You have to be careful when buying used vending machines. This is because the coin receptacle doesn’t usually get replaced if the currency changes, such as dollar bills being changed to coins. This is something that you do have to check out. Check over the used candy vending machine if that is the kind of vending machine you want to use by putting in coins and seeing how easy it is to get the candy. This will give you an idea of how well your vending machine business may go. If the machines are easy to use, you will have many repeat customers. If they are difficult to use, then customers will avoid your machine when they want candy, a snack or a drink.

You will find many used vending machines for sale if you do an online search. Some of the companies that have the vending machines for sale offer a guarantee that you will not have any problems with the machines that you buy from them. When you compare the price of a new snack vending machine with the price of a refurbished machine, you can save yourself thousands of dollars. With this saving, you don’t have to wait as long to recoup the cost of the used vending machines from the sales of the products.

The companies that have used vending machines for sale also have a payment plan that you can use to pay out the vending machines. This makes it much easier to get started in the vending machine business if you want to have the larger used vending machines or even if you want to start with a used candy vending machine. Even when you do get established and start to expand your line of vending machines, buying used is one way you can save money on your investment and increase your profits.

There are many benefits to buying used vending machines, especially if you buy them when they are already placed in a location. Along with getting the previous owner’s information about the sales, you can talk to the store or business owner about the amount of commission that he/she gets from the vending machines. The business owner will also be able to tell you whether there have been a lot of problems with the machine and which products the customers seem to like best. Getting started in the vending machine business with used vending machines makes good financial sense.
