Thanks a lot for your post. I feel that you were very honest about the business of franchising.

I do disagree with something you said, though.

You wrote that, “I really think that the main reason most franchises fail is not being able to hire good help to make the business work and run smoothly.”

The real reasons that a lot of franchises fail is because the folks that invested in them were either totally wrong for the specific franchise, or they failed miserable at their research.

Franchise business opportunities can be great for the right person, who does their research properly.

I agree Rome. You are able to get into an internet business for a very small outlay. But you still have to learn and work your business just as if it were brick and mortor. Your are so right about over coming obstacles that get in the way. Just have to continue to move forward. And never ever ever … ever QUIT!

Great post and so true. One other thing I would like to point out is sometimes franchises do not work because the person that bought the franchise does not have the mental toughness to deal with the rigors of running a business. It’s a lot of money and a lot of over head to loose for that experiment.

With the internet, you can learn the skills necessary to make an income that is equivalent and sometimes surpasses a traditional franchise, but for about 1 10th the cost.

However, you still need to have the mental toughness to push through and learn the business.
