Omnicare does not honor it’s agreements.
Are You Drowning in Overwhelming Debt? Your NOT ALONE.
Today is the day to do something about it.
Go ahead CLICK this link it won't bite.
The time to take ACTION is NOW!!
Don’t you just hate it when things change and your the last one to know about it. The only way you know things have changed is that you get a letter in the mail telling you that you have been turned over to collections.
Omnicare makes up it’s own rules as it goes along.
The following statement was taken directly from Omnicare’s website…
“Omnicare provides professional pharmacy services to skilled nursing facilities and assisted living communities in 47 states in the United States and Canada. Our services are focused on delivering the most appropriate pharmaceutical care cost effectively.”
I actually have to snicker at that statement. “Our services are focused on delivering the most appropriate pharmaceutical care cost effectively.” I suppose I could read a bit more into that part of the statement and make it mean just about anything, Perhaps that is what Omnicare has done. Make that statement fit the situation.
I want to tell you how Omnicare really takes care of the people that it provides services to.
==================================================================
End of October 2006
Margret Mae entered Tender Care Nursing Home in Monroe Michigan
after a short stay in the hospital. Margret had suffered a stroke in her
home and laid on the floor for 4 days before she was found.
Beginning October 2007
Margret was released from the nursing home and went to live with her son and myself. Shortly after arriving here WE got a bill in the mail for $3996.35 from Specialized Pharmacy. I say “WE” because the bill came in my husband name not Margret’s. After the shock of seeing such a large amount being owed I called and asked about it. I insisted that there must be a mistake. What was this bill for?
I was told that this was for the drugs that Margret has received while she was in the nursing home. No explanation was given for WHY no bill had been sent prior to this but I would be getting a break down of all of the drugs that were given while Margret was in the nursing home. A week or so later I did indeed get a break down. Margret got on the phone with Specialized Pharmacy and made arrangement to pay $50.00 a month. And we started to pay $50.00 a month. That was the agreement that both the pharmacy and Margret agreed to.
June 2008
Specialized Pharmacy billing changed to Omnicare Pharmacy
I am guessing Fall of 2009
Margret received a letter stating that she had been turned over to collectionsfor not paying her bill. I called the pharmacy and was told how sorry they were but this should not have happened. We will take care of this. You account is noted that you are set up on a $50.00 a month payment.
February 1 2010
Margret received another letter indicating that she had once again been
turned over to collections. I called again and spoke with a delightful woman
named Sandy. Sandy once again told me how sorry she was that this happened and she did see that the account is setup for a $50.00 a month payment plan. She said she would find out and get back with me. Sandy called and told me that she had forwarded an email and that someone would be getting back with me about this matter.
A few days Later Harold called. I was told that my bill was 271 days past due. I told Harold it can’t be I had just sent in a check and had been sending in checks all along, $50.00 a month just as had been agreed to. Harold went onto tell me that the outstanding debt itself was what was 271 days past due. I asked Harold what happened to the agreement that we had for the $50.00 a month? He told me again it was 271 days past due. I said if you were going to change the rules I think it would have been nice to let us know. To give us a heads up to your intent of if the bill was not paid that we would be turned over to the collection agency. A phone call or a letter would have been nice. Harold said, we did call you. I asked, when did you call me? Harold said we called you on January 29. I said I didn’t get a phone call. Did you speak to me or leave me a message? Harold told me that no message was left. But that was the “attempt to notify” before account was turned over to collections. I asked how I was suppose to know that you want to speak to me. Harold informed me that my caller ID would have indicated that they called. Of course I had to ask, What makes you think I have caller ID? I proceeded to tell Harold that I was sure not everyone was as tecky as he was.
Margret called the collection agency and was told to borrow the money.
Margret has paid the outstanding bill to the collection agency.
Margret never said she didn’t owe the money. Payment arrangements were made and the payments were always paid. Omnicare is just not to be trusted. I am sure if this has been done to Margret it is being done to many many other people.
I welcome your comments and any experience with Omnicare that you would like to share.
Is mobility a problem for you?
This has been a great help to Margret.

I find it highly suspicious that there was no bill for a full year that Margret was in the nursing home, and even moreso that they can’t explain why that is. Is it possible that they paid it too?
I think if you fought it in court, you’d win. They accepted the $50/mo payments. This is just one reason that I am not in favor of for profit healthcare.. but we won’t go there
Yes Karen that does make you wonder about no bill for such a long time. The whole thing was one of those things that makes you scratch your head in wonderment of how can SO many things go so WRONG!!
